A Center of Excellence (COE) is a team, a shared facility or an entity that provides leadership, best practices, research, support and/or training for a focused area.

In Lean, the COE is typically a small, dedicated team of cross-functional leaders and change agents who are responsible for driving real and lasting organizational change.
