Value Stream Mapping (VSM)

A value-stream map is a holistic visual representation of the flow of resources and information that provide the customer with a particular product or service.

It is a useful tool for showing the current state and for identifying performance improvement opportunities by analyzing the flow of value through the process (as perceived by the customer).
